Complex investment site analysis and environmental risk assessment HPC-GIS technology development
Industi sp. z o. o. is working on a project called “Complex investment site analysis and environmental risk assessment HPC-GIS technology development” as part of the 1.2 Dedicated research as part of the Regional Operational Programme for Lubelskie 2014-2020 co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Project goals: The purpose of the project is to develop the HPC-GIS (High Performing Computing Geographical Information System) technology. The research problem is to develop a technology capable of efficiently performing the multifactorial GIS analyses in regards to investment worth and attractiveness. A model for the environmental risk and impact assessment is to be implemented to the developed technology.
Planned effects: The research involves the development of GPU-accelerated hybrid web cluster-based spatial data allocation and distribution methodology, hybrid web cluster load balancing methods, and spatial data transfer protocols. This will enable the implemention of the HPC-GIS hybrid web cluster-based engine. It enables the development of bespoke parallel programming methods and cloud computing in regards to the topographical parameter designation as well as the implementation of GPU-accelerated hybrid web cluster-based analytical models.
Project value: 3 796 717,50 PLN
EU funding amount: 2 989 049,60 PLN
